Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: for Catriona & Matthew's Dog: FECK YOU BILL GATES

I start with IT issues which see the Kerim Sener interview delayed. My language and mood is foul. In the podcast I discuss Ariana Resources (AAU), Canadian Overseas Petroleum (COPL), Verditek (VDTK) and, in some detail, Tern (TERN), predicted NAV by Christmas sub 3p, target price by the start of 2024, 2p.

First Derivatives – top broker Berenberg slashes target price by more than 50%

Oops a daisy. It looks as if some folks in the City have finally been reading our exposes on First Derivatives (FDP) and are finally waking up to the issues of cash generation, or rather lack of it. Top broker Berenberg was a major bull but has slashed its target price, as you can see in the full note below, from £43 to just £21.  Welcome to the party fellows but you are still way too generous – fair value is well under £10 a share.

Gulf Keystone 0p by early May - I slash target price from 1p

I am beginning to think that my 1p target price for Gulf Keystone (GKP) is in fact far too generous. Having called this as a sell at 180p and all the way down to abuse from every moron in the land I think it is time to revise the target price. The shares are off another 9% today to just 4.675p. Okay I shall stop being a nice guy, I am cutting my target price from 1p to 0p.

I had thought shareholders might be left with a little something post a debt for equity swap. But I am struck by this piece on Zero Hedge:

Northern Petroleum - Tells us about the Alberta Bonds & when you expect to go bust?

Northern Petroleum (NOP) shares have slumped again today by 13% to 2.25p-3p. I fear it is going to get an awful lot worse with 0p a perfectly plausible target price. There are two problems.

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast 10 Feb - The Madness of 88 Energy as Hornby is de-railed

I refer at the start to my other podcast today on why the striking Junior Doctors are lying, greedy, bastards. You can listen to that HERE. Onto shares and I start with the madness of the 88 Energy (88E) share price today on a risk reward basis. Then it is onto Hornby (HRN), Renold (RNO), Global Invacom (GINV), Wandisco (WAND), Leed Resources (LDP), Golden Saint Resources (GSR), Fusionex (FXI) - target price 0p - Phorm (PHRM) and finally I ask all of you a question about Imaginatik (IMTK).

InternetQ - Pathetic response to ShareProphets - target price cut to half a drachma

Today's From Athens with Love report from ShareProphets sent shares in Greece based AIM listed InternetQ (INTQ) tumbling by more than 50% at one point. Finally we get a weedy but all to predictable response and on the back of it I have cut my target price (for the whole company) from 1 drachma to half a drachma.

Numis ups target price for Berkeley Energy shares from 40p to 100p - you what?

I know that the news from Salamanca last week was big but this big? Big enough for Numis to up its target price for shares in Berkeley Energy (BKY) from 40p to 100p? The shares are now 26.5p? Really?

I think the shares are cheap but my target price is only 36p. But then I am not paid to act as corporate broker to this company. Numis is. The note is worth a read but 100p? Numis is surely 'avin' a bubble.

Buy Petropavlovsk at 6.47p - target price to sell within 3 years 19p

Investment Case: As noted last month with Berkeley Energy, it is not a surprise to see eye-watering share price declines over previous years for stocks with sector: “Mining”. Shares in *Petropavlovsk plc, formerly Peter Hambro Mining, (POG) have particularly suffered – they down from more than 400p at the commencement of 2011 and more than 100p at the commencement of 2013 to a current 6.47p offer price – amidst a combination of sector-wide and company-specific challenges, the latter including a vast debt pile. However, a recent refinancing and refocusing – with production now being optimised from a cash generation point of view – now offer the promise of a decent recovery from current levels and the shares are a buy…the target price to sell is 19p within three years.

Globo and Go!Enterprise Sales – why the Bulletin Board Morons are wrong again – and new target price set: 10p

I flagged up HERE some days ago the fact that revenues from Globo’s (GBO) flagship Go!Enterprise product seemed not to be growing anymore. The Bulletin Board Morons responded with a claim that Matt simply did not understand that sales were second half weighted. No doubt this is company spin. It is also bollocks.
